I had heard of the famous Blacks BBQ and thought this was a near downtown location of the same family restaurant. It was only after reading a review from a food (BBQ) critic superstar that I decided not to eat at this restaurant. His review dissed the restaurant across the board. Well, as a relatively newbie to Austin, I have tried to eat at all the famous BBQ joints here. And mind you, although I do not have a beard, skinny jeans, a really low cut V neck, or any tattoos, I do consider myself a bit of a food expert because just like art, it is subjective. At any rate, Terry Blacks was EXCELLENT from the scene to the service and most importantly the food! I highly suggest you eat at Terry Blacks!
